On February, 8 Irina Rogachyova, head of premium real estate department, acted as a guest speaker in a televised discussion Real Estate: Period of Unsustainability’.
The discussion addressed the most topical problems in the industry: selection of real estate amid the ever-scarcer supply, growing prices, increasing demand and other market trends.
One of the talking points was the growth of market activity in the residential real estate amid scarce quality offer in the primary sector. According to Irina Rogachyova, it has already caused its effects: “although sales activity can be detected throughout completed facilities and those which are under construction, it is only true of those developers who demonstrated stability last year”
In answering the question about price fluctuations, Irina Rogachyova highlighted the trend towards higher prices for real estate starting from summer 2009. In talking about the outlook for real estate investments, she noted: “We forecast two obvious spikes – those in summer and in winter this year when the prices are very likely to demonstrate a steep growth.”
