Vladislav Doronin won the prestigious of Businessman of the Year title. It was awarded to him at a ceremony conducted by Rosbisnesconsulting.
Its winners are prominent intellectuals, state officials, heads of leading companies and mass-media. This year it was handed to Vladislav Doronin for speedy implementation of a crisis-management strategy and his contribution to developer business.
The award ceremony took place on February, 25 in the Moscow Kremlin; its organizers and participants noted that it was primarily to Vladislav Doronin that the company owed its remarkable achievements, as it became one of Russia’s first developers to raise funds for construction work and restructure credit liabilities. Capital Group continued operating non-stop while most of other developers were forced to suspend their construction activities. In the recession year 2009 Capital Group managed to complete five facilities whose total floor area exceeded
600 thousand square meters. Today, the company is implementing new projects and is expanding its asset portfolio. It continues operating in the business, premium and deluxe-class sectors, as well as in the class A sector of commercial real estate.
At the award ceremony, Vladislav Doronin noted:
It is truly a great honor for me and the company that has proved stable and successful despite the global financial crisis. Capital Group is one of the few developers that successfully survived the 1998 downturn. Ever since, the company has been striving for a balanced credit policy and development in different real estate segments. In 2009 we found this strategy instrumental in completing our construction projects and keeping the trust of our clients and investors. We have finished all of our previous projects and are implementing new ones.
The Person of the Year Award has existed since 2001. It has been presented to Dmitriy Medvedev, first deputy Mayor in the Moscow government Vladimir Resin,
